Are you interested in becoming a Cosmetologist? Lucia Mar has the perfect program for you!
 
We are a full-service Cosmetology School offering classes through Adult Education.

Adult students can sign up to start classes covering everything needed to prepare for the licensing examination. Our students will receive hands-on instruction and practical experience. The classes are filling up and you may be placed on a waiting list.
 

Program Prerequisites: 

  • Students must be at least 18 years of age before entry into the program

  • Students must possess a high school diploma or equivalent; or be concurrently enrolled in Lucia Mar Adult Education’s high school diploma program

  • Students must have a valid form of identification AND a social security card

  • Students must be able to speak, read, and write English. A 10th-grade reading level is recommended by the Board of Barbering and Cosmetology. If a student tests below a 10th-grade reading level, Adult Education will require dual enrollment in our reading support class. 

 

Course Length:

  • You will have 2 years to complete 1000 hours of instruction.

  • If you have to leave the program for any reason, you will be required to pay a reprocessing fee to rejoin the program. Please note that we cannot hold your spot once you leave the program, as space may be limited.

Monday-Thursday 4:00 PM-8:00 PM

**Students need to achieve 1000 hours to graduate

Registration Fee: $3000.00

The registration fee includes Pivot Point curriculum, a cosmetology kit, and all supplies students will need.

Students wishing to enroll in the Cosmetology Career Technical Education program may register online using the link below. All Career Technical Education program students must show proof of a high school diploma or equivalent to enroll or sign up for concurrent enrollment in the Adult Education course.
