Our mission at Bright Futures is to create a safe and structured environment where engaged students thrive academically and socially through extra-curricular activities. We are dedicated to empowering students while fostering a community that embraces enrichment, learning, and growth.
 
 
Bright Futures Before & After School Care for students funded by the After School Enrichment and Safety state grant. This grant enables us to offer students in the program a safe environment, academic support, and enrichment classes aligned with the regular school day, and supper is provided for FREE. Our mission is to meet the needs of students and families as a means to close the achievement gap by providing children with opportunities to develop skills, competency, and efficacy in an environment that values children, the love of learning, and achievement. We provide students with a place to do their homework, enrichment, hands-on, and physical activities.

New to Lucia Mar? New families that are seeking Bright Futures must first complete online district enrollment. Once that is completed, visit your school of residence office with the paperwork. Then, Bright Futures enrollment should be available within a few days. Please remember, it is a lottery enrollment as long as you are registered by July 17, 2026.

If not registered by July 17, you can still apply and will be added to the waitlist.
